ABOUT

Max Planck Law | Tech | Society is an Initiative within the Max Planck Law Network. It serves as a hub for the exchange of ideas on common themes, concerns, and challenges raised by the interplay of law, technology, and society.

Over the last decade, research on “law and technology” has exploded. Indeed an increasing number of Max Planck Law scholars are examining questions lying at the interface of law and technology in a number of legal disciplines; or making use of cutting-edge technology as a tool for their research.

The Max Planck Law and Tech Initiative brings together researchers from across Max Planck Law Institutes and beyond with a particular interest in the latest developments in the field of law and technology. It serves as a hub for the exchange of ideas on common themes, concerns, and challenges raised by the complex and interdependent relationships between law, technology and society.

In general, my work on economic and legal history revolves around the question to which extent specific historical lessons and schools of thought have influenced policy makers in their decision-making. My dissertation project contributes to the clarification of the ordoliberal influence on EU competition policy by examining the competition law decisions of the European Commission and Courts.
